PURPOSE

The North Carolina Tissue Engineering Group was first organized in 1998 to foster collaborations in tissue engineering throughout North Carolina, with the strong desire to be geographically and institutionally inclusive.  In 2010, the Board decided to reorganize as the North Carolina Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society (NCTERMS) as an educational and scientific association. It is the purpose of NCTERMS to provide information and educational opportunities to fellow researchers, scientists, students and staff on advances in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in the State of North Carolina. Our chief activity is to organize an informational and educational annual meeting that promotes the participation and education of researchers, business entities, scientists, students and staff involved in promoting tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in the State. The membership of NCTERMS consists of its officers as well as a Board of Directors selected from amongst participants across the State.
